Rev. Dr. Spencer F. Isaac was born on May 2, 1961, in Washington, DC to the late Deacon Lesley D. Isaac, Sr. and the late Deaconess Corrinthius Isaac. He is the youngest of three children and he’s married to Mrs. Barbara Isaac and they have 2 daughters Alexis and Stephanie Isaac. They reside in Woodbridge, Virginia. Rev. Isaac was ordained a deacon in 1984 at the New Mt Nebo Baptist Church in Capital Heights, MD. Three years later he was called to the Gospel Ministry. In 1987, he preached his initial sermon and was licensed to preach. In 1994 he was ordained to the Gospel Ministry at the New Mt Nebo Baptist Church, where he served as assistant to the pastor.
By God’s divine providence on August 9, 1996, he was extended the pastoral call by the New Mt. Zoar Baptist Church. He graciously accepted and assumed those duties on September 1,
1996. In addition, a total of 7 acres of land has been purchased for a new church and family center.
Rev. Isaac retired from the Federal Government after working 36 years where he worked at the General Services Administration for the Chief Financial Officer as the Director of the Financial Operations Division responsible for the accounting treatment of a 9 billion dollar budget. In 2019 Pastor Isaac was awarded the Pastor of the Year for emerging churches for the Mid-Atlantic Region, for the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International Conference. Also in 2018 received his doctorate of Divinity from the Wilbur H. Waters School of Religion. He is currently teaching homiletics at the Wilbur H. Waters School of Religion, Inc., and Theological Seminary and is the 1st Vice President and Dean of Administrative Affairs at Wilbur H. Waters School of Religion.
